Cons
Numbers driven. I know numbers matter, but clinical staff shouldn't walk around daily being reminded of this. This should be kept at an administrative level. Very poor discharge planning with patients. Pays poorly but they will tell you that they pay competitively. They offer raises but none to prn staff and the pay is low. No differential pay for nights and weekend staff. Other hospitals offer this!! Minimal room for growth. They often hire from outside or promote less qualified staff (they’re friends) for upper level positions. There are often qualified and respected staff that put patient care above all else, but because of this very thing, they will not promote them. Or they will make them interim until they hire someone else. This happens repeatedly at this facility. There is no safety and security at this facility. I’ve worked nights and there have been times where dangerous people walk in from the streets and staff support is low and slow. By the time help is called, you could’ve been attacked and dead. Worst case scenario, but highly possible unfortunately.
