Pros
Work/Life Balance. Excellent technical support organization. Cool performance monitoring tools.
Cons
Flagship product is dead. I came onboard just as the SteelHead product line was losing its luster. WANOp still has a place for customers that communicate over large distances (latency) but it really packed a punch for bandwidth savings back in the days when companies had T1s at the office. Now most customers don't have that much problem with latency and their WAN connections are huge. Riverbed was caught flat footed and tried to pivot to SDWAN late in the game but failed on integrating it into the SteelHead like SilverPeak did with their WAN OP platform. They then bought a terrible SDWAN product and tried to re-engineer it to integrate with SteelHead and meet market requirements. That failed too. I ended up getting laid off right about this time. I never got a raise in the 4 years I was working there. They just weren't giving raises.
