Pros
This is the best place I've worked and I'm honored to be on the same team as these people. Locally: The team in Romania is very good, they help one another and everybody is interested in expanding their knowledge, and that's priority which is reflected in our objectives. There is never a situation (even though there are some tough cases) where the team is out of ideas, highly skiled engineers are distributed in teams and there's no such thing as a showstopper yet. Remote work expands the recruitment area across the country and this openness is fantastic. Managers have good people skills. They support you when you feel you underperform, appreciate your achievements, and encourage growth. Teams share ideas and brainstorm to solve problems or adopt new procedures, the team leader doesn't act like he's the boss and the team members are his personal employees. Globally: The company is open and teams in other parts of the world are as well interested in innovation and knowledge expansion. Collaboration is encouraged company-wide. The goals of the company and general direction are published without forcing ppl to come to meetings, wear branded t-shirts or any of that brainwashed stuff, they respect smart people and act like it.
Cons
Some of the applications use dated technology (still pretty cool stuff though) but whenever there's a possibility to improve or even add something new adoption is carefully evaluated instead of just getting a flat "no".
