Pros

Not many left. Was a great fun company to work till 2012 before they thought of racing to Billion Dollar club by acquisition of OpNet that led to leaving of co-founder and top brain power. Riverbed has been in whirl-wind after that departure and OpNet proved to be mess. Recent acquisition was inevitable and led to most of smart people leaving leaving behind a pool of under-performers who got elevated to cushy roles that they cannot justify to run. Riverbed had one of best benefit package in its best days. It was always employee focused and happy employees contributed to its explosive growths. This is not the case any more.

Cons

What started as a awesome company has nothing left to call great. After selling two product line and exodus of brain power, the existing work force is not at par competition to lead into future. The business side needs major over-haul in its strategy and delivery. I.T is run by people who lack vision, ability and capability to deliver. Over-all picture is that of each internal department in state of neglect and slowly decaying. They continue to out-source without any prudence leading to lowest customer service scores. Internal communication is poor. Global sites do not sync with each other leading to people doing own stuff everywhere.

Pros

Great technology across two platforms. One focused on the original flagship platform, WAN Optimization. The second platform uses the integration of technologies through previous acquisitions to provide a very robust and unified IT observability solution. The SaaS version of the latter has finally achieved FedRAMP accreditation which was sorely need for U.S. Federal sales.

Cons

I left a couple of years ago due to new leadership and it's deaf ear to the then federal sales team and needs to achieve sales goals without having Riverbed SaaS platform accredited to operate on U.S. Federal Government networks.
