Very difficult politics and internal communication: it seemed like I could never get a straight answer about anything. Teams would shift, priorities would change regularly, people would quit and there was always this weird way of covering it up with some half baked cookie cutter response.
Terrible meeting culture: lots of meetings happened for the sake of meeting. Wednesday's were reserved for no meetings but people would just use that as a "last resort" which actually happened all the time. My day consisted of 80% meetings.
Lots of ego: I think management got too over confident with their valuation and they think there's nothing wrong, as if high valuation = successful company = happy employees. The bubble is bursting and the culture is dead. There needs to be a hard reset to retain existing talent.
Misleading culture: leadership talks a lot about having good culture and being transparent, but anyone who has constructive criticism of the company will often be punished for not being "Ro first." Of course, there are always great managers in any organization, but most that I have encountered turn a blind eye and will often make excuses for the company or leadership.
