Pros

If and when you get training, it can be very helpful. but I got my "training" 4 months into the job. The pros are generally good people that work there, my team was great. If your manager is a good one, it can be fun and if you hit the goals, they will leave you alone to let you do your job. The database and CRM systems are very good and are very helpful in doing your job. If you have never been a recruiter, its a good way to get your foot in the door and learn recruiting and sales. Decent bonuses if you hit their lofty goals.

Cons

Unrealistic goals, incredibly unintelligent draw system and upper management that is so far removed from being on the desk. There is a reason the turnover rate is 54% +. I sat next to 11 different people in over a year and a half and it was double that on the other Dept. of RHT. The training is based on put you in the seat and see if you drown or not. They don't invest in their people. Most people get in and get the training and get out when they have some tenure. Please don't think I am a disgruntled former employee, I was above my numbers for the year when jumped ship. I just want people to understand the job.

Pros

Success with other departments - just not in mine

Cons

Complete bait and switch. I accepted this position under one manager, only to find out after resigning from my previous job that I would be reporting to someone else entirely. There was no meaningful onboarding, no training materials, and no support system in place. My manager openly stated that there was no monetary value in helping me succeed and made little effort to train or develop me. Requests to shadow and learn the business were dismissed in favor of keeping me on the phones. Instead of being set up for success, I felt actively prevented from growing. HR was equally disappointing. I raised legitimate concerns and never received a response. The organization talks about development and support, but my experience suggested otherwise. Joining this company was one of the biggest professional mistakes I have made.
