Pros

Working here is like being in an abusive relationship with a narcissistic partner. They shower you with spoken praise and make you believe that your work actually matters.

Cons

The other day Jay Farner asked employees of Rocket Central to sacrifice themselves for the company. When asked how the company would retain talent he said that people would see the company’s mission as admirable. That people would want to join because of this. What an idiot. This organization is a top down cult. They preach their isms as a method of control. They don’t value your efforts and you are not rewarded appropriately with cash. It doesn’t matter how smart or hard working you are here. With the Super Bowl coming up they’re spamming everyone’s email cordially requiring people to upvote their stupid add. If you’re a real person with self respect stay away.

Pros

Strong technical stack and real ownership of enterprise reporting. Complex servicing and NPL data gives senior analysts room to build governance, dimensional models, and end-to-end pipelines with genuine business impact. Skilled peers and access to large regulated datasets (FNMA, FHLMC, HUD) that sharpen your craft.

Cons

Heavy reliance on undocumented legacy systems that fall on individual contributors to reverse engineer. Knowledge concentration creates single points of failure and inconsistent handoff when people leave. Org changes and shifting priorities can outpace documentation and process maturity.
