Pros
training and paid licensing is a big benefit. Get that in and get out like most people do.
Cons
very much a boys club- some women can join. If you are 18- 30, white male you will do great assuming you have mastered the art of sucking up to leadership and their large egos and like drinking a lot of Kool-Aid. They will work you like a dog and if you burn out it does not matter they will still expect more. They like hiring the young coked out, Adderall junkies with zero experience and call them mortgage prodigies while you scratch your head wondering how....those are the ones that seem to get the most leads, write them and close them blowing everyone with experience out of the water. They will rob you of hard earned money and act like they are gifting you something elaborate if they approve your PTO.... which is supposed to be a benefit that an employee earns. If they like you, they will make you "successful " and if you are not in the club, you are on your own and if they don't like you, they will make life there miserable and almost impossible to succeed. All the genuine leaders and Directors that care... get demoted and or leave. A lot of good people come and go. There may be a few that stay but if one leader has issue with you they ALL will have an issue with you. Self preservation is real among the directors .
