Pros

PAID Training for the SAFE exam, excellent health insurance, lively office, free trip to Detroit, free slushies. Good way to build confidence in sales.

Cons

I don't know where to start honestly. The first 3-4 months are very pleasent. After you hit the floor as a banker be prepared to be treated inhumanely. You will not be allowed to eat or go to the bathroom.(no breaks or lunches) Directors disrespect you on purpose to test you. You will not be trained on how to use the systems effectively. You are taught some pretty aggressive sales tactics and encouraged to put clients down so you can manipulate them later. If you have any actual experience in the mortgage industry then this probably is not the place for you. In fact, if you are not a male under the age 35 this probably isnt the place for you. Some women do okay but prepared to be sexually harassed and ridiculed. Sexist comments are acceptable here. Also, profanity is rampant which is fine unless you really value a professional workplace. You will be told over and over on how much money you can make but the truth is only a select few can actually pull it off. They control who gets the good leads. Oftentimes, you are put in a little room with directors and they ask you about your goals in life. They try to find weaknesses so they can use them to thier advantage. No one is interested in your success.
