Pros
Steady work for the most part. Experience with big boy toys playing in dirt.
Cons
Mandatory "voluntary" OT, Horrific lack of professional development. Ridiculously bad management at lower site levels/operations. Refusal to invest in newer and safer technologies within plants, which adds to downtime. Their labor is cheaper than tech. Care about safety so far as they don't get fined.
