Pros

-Great culture -Lots of social events -Employee perks incl snacks and tech allowance -Motivated, friendly staff -Open plan office -Transparent CEO -Approachable leadership team -Opportunities for growth and travel

Cons

-Not flexible with working from home -Pressure to come into work while sick (leadership team including the CEO came into the office visibly ill on multiple occasions, which created an environment where staff felt they needed to do the same) -Certain roles were ignored by the business and treated (in 3 years of employment, I received one employee award, despite exceeding my targets dramatically and repeatedly and growing my part of the business. Engineers who'd stayed with the business as little as 9 months received 2 or 3 awards while I was there. I also received no card to say thank you for my three years of service when I left, no recognition that I was leaving at my final all-staff meeting I attended where departing employees typically got a chance to say a goodbye speech and received a card and flowers, and so left feeling a bit heartbroken about that. -It can be costly: we were often asked to buy items for work purposes with our own money. We could then claim that back and receive the money back from the company a month later. This is ok if you are a high paid employee or have a comfortable home situation, but when you are financially struggling and have personal debt, it's incredibly hard. There was also an awesome employee training scheme to encourage you to take up extra learning by doing external courses relevant to your job up to the value of $2000 that I would have really liked to access while I was there, but I was sadly never able to because we were required to pay that course cost out of our own pockets upfront and could only claim it back later. Hopefully this system has since changed.

We deeply value and appreciate this feedback, as we are learning, growing, and striving to create better experiences for our Rokt’stars every day. To start, we want to apologize for your departure experience. Unsure of when you departed and whether our current WFH situation played any factor, but nonetheless we’re sorry you didn't have the send off you were hoping for. We also value your feedback around our work from home policy. Due to the current world circumstances, we find ourselves working from home (100% of Rokt’stars are working remotely at the moment). But this is definitely not the norm for us. We are building a complex product and do not feel remote working arrangements is a good fit for our business. There is always room for flexibility when flexibility is needed. But as a norm, we prefer in-person collaboration. (To note: we offer a generous paid time off policy - including sick leave days to use when you are not feeling well. Under no circumstance do we expect employees to come to the office if they are not feeling well.) Last but not least, we appreciate your feedback around our expense process - this made us understand we need to do a better job at communicating how this actually works! We do not expect our employees to carry any financial burden - we offer many alternatives for employees to make work related purchases (anything from work travel to training and external courses) without having to make any up front out of pocket expenses. We will make sure this is clarified to relieve anyone from feeling financial burden. As with any business, we know we have improvements to make - we are always looking for ways to improve and appreciate your feedback. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and we truly thank you for your contributions during your 3 years at Rokt.

Pros

Rokt is the kind of place where you can grow fast if you're willing to put in the work. I've built my way up to senior leadership over my time here, that kind of trajectory doesn't happen without real investment from the company in its people. The work is genuinely complex and interesting: you're sitting at the intersection of technology, commercial strategy, and some of the biggest brands in the world. The caliber of teammates has been consistently high, and the culture pushes you to think bigger and challenge yourself. There's also a real emphasis on building leaders from within, which I've benefited from directly and tried to pay forward with my own team.

Cons

Fast growth means things move quickly and priorities can shift. If you need a lot of structure or predictability, it can feel like a lot. Ambiguity is part of the job, and not everyone thrives in that environment.
