Pros
I get to clock in from my bedroom, I spend half my week driving/shopping. A large majority of my jobs are minimal physical labor and just require the know how to diagnose what’s wrong and fix it. I get paid millage only when driving to a job.
Cons
I have to pay $400 a month for a van, $400 a month for commercial insurance, $150 a month for tool insurance. I pay for all the maintenance and repairs on my van and tools. I’m a W2 employee and unable to write off any of those expenses. I don’t get any hourly pay, I work horrible hours and work the entire weekend.
