Pros

I make good money. It is not easy.

Cons

Wow where to start!? I am in the top 4% of everyone at RR with my job. There are fewer than 9000 hours in a year. If you count on call, where I sleep with the co phone under my pillow and get up of it rings, I work over 4000 hours a year. This actually comes out to around $30.00 an hour. I am ordered to train people to COMPETE with me for opportunities, which lowers my pay. Add to that, a management team COMMITTED, to doing things as CHEAPLY as possible, to the extent of not hiring enough people to produce what is sold and you have this job in a nutshell. Can’t speak for any other branch with any first hand knowledge, and since a portion of my 401k is in company stock, I tell myself I just stumbled on to a crappy situation. Maybe I have drawn the short straw? Maybe my managers are just the worst at their jobs and it gets better as you move through the company? I doubt it! There are Regional VP’s cultivating this culture. Now, in defense of other RVP’s, they don’t all have a top producer/golden goose. I tell myself it just sucks from the top down for me. My team was unprepared mentally for success. They enjoy the accolades that come from the success I provide, but it is their collective first experience WITH, success! Before I took this job, I’d want to know if I’m taking this job at a branch with a top performer in the sales position they are lying to you about.

Pros

Dispatch from home Reimbursed for mileage

Cons

Slow, and you are reliant on the quality of leads in which dispatch sends you. At the end of my experience, had only had anyone from 1-3 leads in my entire twelve hour shift. Meanwhile, you will be held accountable to unreasistic expectations - even when it is slow (lack of empathy and understanding from leadership).
