Administrative Assistant - Administrative Assistant Roush Industries Employee Review

Pros

Good place to gain experience then leave quickly.

Cons

Management top heavy. Evan Lyall likes to cut employees to save the company budget. Lots of layoffs then hire back with low salaries. Saw a lot of good people cut right before holidays every year. Favoritism and nepotism is practiced within departments. When this practice was mentioned to HR, things got ugly. Left quickly, never looked back.

Roush Industries Response

Our management structure is not top heavy and is consistent with the needs of a nimble, service oriented company. Each department determines staffing levels based on business needs, not the CEO. Contract staff is used to manage fluctuations based on customer needs. Salaries are determined based on job duties, skills, experience, and education required. Roush’s practice is to create a work environment that is interesting, rewarding and mutually beneficial. We do have an open door policy and encourage our employees to have honest conversations with their manager or department head. HR investigates all allegations brought to our attention with a commitment to resolving issues fairly.
