Pros

The mission is amazing, but it's very clinical once you start there. Folks are, for the most part, very friendly In general, it's an okay place to work. If you're looking to work somewhere with really smart people look elsewhere. It's not really innovative or cutting edge. There are some smart folks there but they are the minority. It's mostly just average people doing their job, which isn't bad just not a personal knowledge accelerator.

Cons

Here are the major red flags I saw: - A lot of turnover, especially in ENG - really low scores in some areas of the employee survey, some of which were around the lack of clarity in job roles and compensation - they're really money driven which lends to dehumanizing the product - It doesn't seem like the design team is engaged or excited. They had a lot of turnover in the past year, particularly the most senior team members. - they have a company history of DEI issues starting back in 2017 and some still exist. What I heard from colleagues sounded like a "no, so and so wouldn't do that" ostrich mentality. - there are people that have reputations there but no one does anything about it. You just hear,"Typical [insert name]". More ostrich mentality. -product didn't seem to be a cohesive or satisfied team. I heard grumblings often. The biggest thing I noticed was fear-avoidance decision-making. The phrase,"I'm worried that..." was said a lot.

Pros

Great platform, profile covers all the important points

Cons

Very limited inbound requests, would have expected more in a high density area for dog ownership

Pros

Good work-life balance, collaborative engineering culture, dogs, two-sided marketplace is an interesting product to work on, forward-thinking about AI tools.

Cons

As the overwhelming market leader in the space (RIP Wag!), there is maybe some complacency.
