Pros

Good place for a new engineer - lots of opportunity to gain experience with different platforms and travel.

Cons

-Minimal training offered - it’s all OTJ based with almost no resources or standards documented - Rampant favoritism - you’re either “one of the boys” or you’re not, and your pay, bonuses, and choice of projects will be decided by that. This is a major issue red flag - no diversity or inclusion efforts, quite the opposite-management is proud of the exclusionary environment -Very frat-like environment - lots of drinking and partying. Not really a place for people with a family. Work hard, play hard equals an expectation to work 50-60 hours a week, and then drink away your burnout -Long work days, last minute travel, and little acknowledgement of efforts by management -Pay is well below market point for positions hired, and yearly increase is minimal -No performance evaluations are done, always a surprise if you’re doing well or not

Pros

Good compensation at least for the Cleveland area. Great people and interesting work. The one thing Rovisys had in spades was a good friendly culture. You get to learn a lot of you are willing, and the technical experience I gained here has helped me immensely.

Cons

Work ethic wasn't always there depending on who you were staffed with on projects. I was fortunate to have good managers, but not everyone I started with was as fortunate. There was also a lot of travel at least for the controls engineers.
