Pros
Best University I've worked at with regards to having access to the President and feeling informed on new information. Great benefits as a state employee like vacation, sick time and maternity leave. You truly feel like you're apart of something big and like you're making a difference.
Cons
Lack of compensation in a number of years even when you meet your goal year over year and you ask for a raise and show the supporting information to back your reasoning. A lot of people that work here have never worked anywhere else or have been here for over a decade or more. As a result they're very resistant to change and doing things differently. Employees of various departments aren't the greatest with meeting deadlines or doing things in a timely fashion.
