Pros

- Occasional code 2s, good experience for ring downs and handoff reports - Other EMTs and RNs are nice to work with - Opportunities for CCT transports

Cons

- Never off on time, Regularly held over an hour minimum - Broken/malfunctioning/inappropriate/outdated equipment (gurneys, medications, rigs, etc) - Incentives/missed meal breaks/etc missing from paychecks, 50 cent every 6 months raises not added to paychecks on time - Overly competitive environment, opportunities within company feel ‘cliche based’ and unfair based on unprofessional out of work relationships - Company values profits higher than your time/well-being/etc - No differential pay for night shift or bariatric shifts, night shift is also unable to make overtime as they reset the clock at midnight unlike most other medical companies - Company takes calls that should not be handled by BLS IFT and instead should be advised to call 911, EMTs forced into situations that the company does not prepare them for
