Pros

Honestly the best part about Royal is the hours. The hours are almost unlimited but really depends on how much u want to work. There’s soo much room to pick up. Current management tries hard to work with nurses because we have a life outside of work. Great sick time and PTO As nurses we are finally able to put our skills into action without a doctor always holding our hands. We get to learn various skills that wasn’t taught to us in the hospital like how to actually work the ventilator and to intubate; work with ECMO PRN for ECMO,Balloon-pump, and impella calls. Feel like I’m in control of my life and not burned out like I felt working bedside. By far the best job I’ve ever worked

Cons

Communication with dispatchers can be tricky at times. Pay could be a bit better but works

Pros

Good way to get basic EMT experience. Able to expand on that doing CCT or ALS transfers with medics and nurses. Good place to start a career in EMS or healthcare if you use it as a platform to jump from. The good news is they embrace this.

Cons

Basic IFT transports. Usually nothing too crazy can let your skills go soft.
