Pros

A lot better training and coaching than competition, by far. Good people to work alongside.

Cons

Micromanagement. Not good if you are a self starter with a good head on your shoulders. Pay structure is a lot worse than other competition.

We really appreciate you taking the time to share your comments and insights. You touched upon a big dilemma that all sales-based businesses face: the balance between "too much help" and "not enough help". We are constantly wanting to improve and be ahead of the outdated auto industry. Our philosophy is to allow our people to be successful and grow and we genuinely hope you will step forward with your ideas for helping both you and our company grow. The Owners and General Manager is very accessible and ready to hear your specific ideas!

Pros

- Biggest pro is being non-commissioned sales, takes the pressure away from the customer and the salesperson. Car salesmen are typically regarded as trying to take advantage of the customer to get more commissions, you take that away and it really changes the environment. - The managers I had the pleasure of working with wanted you to get better and better, and they were willing to help as long as you were willing to put the effort. - I was 21 when I got the job, youngest sales consultant at the time, making a pretty decent salary. Plus, I got to learn a lot about the industry whilst gaining sales experience.

Cons

- Long hour days are not uncommon. You might be scheduled to leave at 4:30 and end up staying until the end of the day. BUT, it meant you had a customer, and you were doing business, so it is not necessarily a bad thing. Unless you have other commitments, or you really don't like to stay longer than scheduled, that could be the only issue. - Sometimes there was pressure, as in any other business, to work harder. But if you were doing what your managers and team leaders constantly suggest, you should not have a problem keeping a healthy pipeline of customers.
