Pros
free health insurance, remote work. (but low pay.) not hard to stand out, most employees sit on their phones playing games and watch tik tok all day. if you sit down and do work for a good 3-4 hours a day you'll likely land a leadership role. good place to work if your home with the kids all day or need a job where you can't be available for 8 hrs a day but want to get paid full time.
Cons
unless you have a litter of children and need to insure them for free while getting paid peanuts this is not the job for you. if you are a young candidate fresh out of school or job hopping I would avoid working for Rubicon. I worked here for 3 years. The first couple years as a private company were great, with constant raises, promotions on time bonuses etc, after they went public everything went downhill. last year our bonus was 8 months late this year it was 1/6 of what we normally receive and 6 months late, no wage increases or performance reviews anymore so no chance at getting a raise unless you beg for it. Rubicon is cash-poor with a stock price in the $1.xx range after doing a 1:8 reverse stock split. but the CEO earned over $5 million this year while full-time employees got a 1.5% bonus rather than the 10% we have received in the past. Quarterly layoffs since q4 2022 did not stop. I left as soon as a better opportunity was available no sense in waiting around to be laid off. poor work culture, every department has beef with each other very hostile. would not recommend they don't get good talent for a reason and if they did they have all left for a similar role that pays market rate at another company.
