Pros

Team members are friendly and will help you if you have questions. Most managers are willing to answer questions.

Cons

Nepotism adds a whole new level of office politics. The pay and benefits are well below industry average. There is not a 401k match and the health insurance is pretty poor. Staff doesn't get bonuses. Since the firm operates under a "one firm" model, you are expected to help out in tax, audit and advisory consulting services which makes your role very generalized. If you are interested in specializing - Good Luck because management doesn't listen. They will use you where ever the firm needs resources which means tax employees spend all summer and late fall doing audits.

Pros

Worked for the Tax R&E Team. Amazing group, great company, and fun intern events. Was allowed to stay on and work part time for a fall semester. 10/10 would recommend. Learned so much about statups/emerging technology companies. Clearly a good culture

Cons

Wish I got to work the "tax" seasons to truly understand the full through process.

Pros

The culture in the Kansas City office is amazing. Everyone cares about each other and getting the work down together.

Cons

Pay is below the average you can make other places in Kansas City.
