Pros

Exposure to Unique Medical Cases Being Part of Complex Medical Care Team

Cons

Raises are a joke, and salary caps come quick. For hourly employees raises are about .20 cents a year and you can reach the salary cap for your job title within 5 years. Management is terrible and they have no idea what they are doing, they never consult employees before starting poorly planned new initiatives. Then when the initiatives don't work out (which they usually don't) management is quick to put the blame on their employees. Budget is tight, hard to get over time, no perks or extras, even have to pay for your own office supplies Communication is terrible between employees, management and departments

Pros

I used to work in rushs fertility clinic and felt there was a really great collaboration between everyone on the team.

Cons

our fertility clinic had multiple locations and i had to drive to each one on different days. I felt the compensation wasnt enough for the drive.

Pros

great resources and technology available to make charting easier. i've worked on great units and bad ones, it really depends on management and your support staff.

Cons

big hospital system, again focused on numbers and quantity over quality care. chronically understaffed which leads to overwork and patient risk. staff is not listened to by management when raising concerns about patient safety. not paid enough for nonexistent work life balance. was often working 50-60+ hour weeks staying late and charting with no extra pay
