Pros

Great pay if you are a dedicated and hardworking sales person. This is only due to commission though, the hourly pay they start you at is usually suckish. I was EXCELLENT at my sales position I met my quotas all the time, and enjoyed interacting with customers.

Cons

As with ALL wireless companies, they are not very LOYAL to their employees. If you miss sales quota once or twice you're pretty much gone, and even if you do your best and excel at your quotas, they can find ANY LITTLE reason to fire you at will. I have worked for three wireless companies in the past and was "let go" for stupid little things, but the real reason was just to let me go becuase I had hit the maximum hourly pay, and for them it's cheaper to start over than to keep paying their experienced workers more hourly wages.

Thank you for your feedback. We encourage you to reach out to your Regional manager or the HR department at our corporate office in a professional manner if you have concerns regarding your employment at Russell Cellular. Our goal has always been to grow and retain our employees, not to “let them go for any little reason.” We have very many long term employees and we would love to have a full staff of tenured team members!

Pros

Potential for good income Ample downtime Base pay + commission instead of commission only LGBTQ+ friendly, name tag does not need to be your legal name

Cons

Poor management Values KPIs above customer needs (you'll still get plenty of emails telling you to not, but verbally it is encouraged to do whatever it takes to meet number goals) Poor/minimal hands-on training (everything is video webinars that are basically just power point slides. No in-person coaching unless you get lucky and have a good manager.) Unlikely to progress to higher paying positions.
