Pros

Good hourly wage with commission when u make it

Cons

No work/ home life balance at all! The store manager works mornings/days wsr's work close every night.. I'm in a store that gets very little business more tech issues more than anything! My store manager takes my customers and gets the commission because shes already had 2 pips and afraid to loose her job! After black Friday I'm ready to quit! Oh dont forget that their systems crash anytime the system is busy, that makes the job 10 times harder than normal to do your job!

Hello thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback at this time. Thank you for discussing some items you may feel discontent with while employed with our company. At Russell Cellular, we strive to provide the best employee experience we can within our industry. Each store schedule is different depending on how many employees the store has. As a sales retail company, during the holiday season we do have a 'Blackout Period' where our stores must be staffed as we drive sales in the field. Time off is limited due to how busy the stores get. We always want our team members to enjoy their time outside of our walls so we try to our best to grant time off when available and ensure team members are taken care of. We never want to terminate an employee based off of speculation. Our Employee Relations Department works diligently everyday going over employee issues and using corrective action when needed. We have steps of progressive discipline in place we follow for every team member to ensure we treat everyone fairly. If you have issues with your store schedule or other things you want changed, you can talk with your sales leader at any time. You can also e-mail experience@russellcellular.com too. We thank you again for your review.

Pros

Potential for good income Ample downtime Base pay + commission instead of commission only LGBTQ+ friendly, name tag does not need to be your legal name

Cons

Poor management Values KPIs above customer needs (you'll still get plenty of emails telling you to not, but verbally it is encouraged to do whatever it takes to meet number goals) Poor/minimal hands-on training (everything is video webinars that are basically just power point slides. No in-person coaching unless you get lucky and have a good manager.) Unlikely to progress to higher paying positions.
