Pros

There were some pros: the work environment was friendly and if you enjoy helping customers; you get your fair share of them. The commission was good as well.

Cons

The name of the game is money. If you don't make THEM enough, you're gone. I was fired without a write up, coaching, etc. simply for not meeting sales targets. The main office and district managers have a "one size fits all" management style and do not understand different towns with different populations will have different numbers no matter how hard the employee works.

Dear Current Employee, Thank you for your review. We’re glad that you enjoy your work environment. Russell Cellular strives to make all teams feel like a family. Just a reminder, store sales targets are different at every location and are determined by the number of selling positions at that store. A store with more team members will naturally have higher targets, and a store with lower sales volume will have fewer team members and lower targets.

Pros

Potential for good income Ample downtime Base pay + commission instead of commission only LGBTQ+ friendly, name tag does not need to be your legal name

Cons

Poor management Values KPIs above customer needs (you'll still get plenty of emails telling you to not, but verbally it is encouraged to do whatever it takes to meet number goals) Poor/minimal hands-on training (everything is video webinars that are basically just power point slides. No in-person coaching unless you get lucky and have a good manager.) Unlikely to progress to higher paying positions.
