Pros
Individual contributors and direct managers at lower level are great to work with, team members often help each other out. Free lunch is provided and there is freedom and ability to work remote if necessary.
Cons
Appalling lack of communication from senior management to their employees and between teams that should be working and/or helping each other; office environment can often resemble school cliques. Current and former employees have been undervalued and unappreciated; it is easier to bring in outside vendors to complete the work than to work closely with those already familiar with the product who can bring in additional ideas or insight leadership may not be aware of. Stakeholders seem to only care about numbers and not actually making the product better for its users. Lack of or unrealistic planning results in unfinished projects or requiring people to be available to work on weekends, early morning or late night hours, and even during long-planned vacation time. Employee turnover has been high while company morale has been low. When people leave, management refuses to acknowledge or address staff changes directly unless they receive many questions about it. Poor handling of resources. Need less decision makers and more people who would do the actual work. It's great to have a vision and lots of ideas but not at the expense of being short-staffed and overworked.
