Pros

The myRyan environment allows employees the work-life balance they need. As long as you are committed to putting forth the effort to get the job done right, you can take the time to handle personal responsibilities without any guilt. The transparency is unmatched, in my opinion. I have never worked for a company where management of all levels - including the CEO - shares so much with its employees, including company profits. Along with that, they encourage all employees to share ideas for improving the company and culture, and they actually listen to those ideas and take them in account in their decisions. Most employees are professional and respectful, and are willing to help each other out. Everyone is driven by a common force - providing excellent client service and "liberating our clients from the burden of being overtaxes, freeing their capital to invest, grow and thrive".

Cons

It would be nice to have a more relaxed dress code. It is possible to dress equally professional while wearing jeans (as is evident during our current casual days). It's very tough to move up unless you have a degree. The tuition reimbursement program is fantastic, but not everyone is able to take classes while working and balancing personal responsibilities. I wish they would put more stock in an employee's internal experience, and not rely as heavily on their degree (or lack thereof).

Pros

Culture is great amongst principle and executive team members. The work is not difficult if you have prior experience in property tax. Benefits are good. Great promotion track if you are willing to play the politics.

Cons

Political environment. Senior Consultants do not mind throwing newer people under the bus for their mistakes. Boundaries are not respected. You are expected to know everything with no real formal training, they do provide some training for the first few weeks but then it drops off and everything needs to be self taught. Management has favorites and you will know instantly.
