Pros

RSG is a company comprised of insurance industry experts, so as my first taste of the business world, i understood how a very professional culture operated. The lack of a structured internship allowed for an array of tasks making my day to day change constantly. Due to the company's small size and new incorporation when I interned, I was provided the opportunity to create and present a marketing strategy that was substantially implemented.

Cons

The experience in the room made for a somber atmosphere and not much social interaction from what I could tell. Hierarchy and lines of command were very strict. "Marketing" at RSG was never defined for me or what my responsibilities would be, so I floated from one task to the next not seeing how one supported or built on the last.

I wanted to provide an update as this former employee worked at RSG before a number of changes were implemented with regard to our internship program. Our goal has been to continue to enhance our internship experience with RSG. Over the last 2 years we have listened and responded to our interns and improved our internship program. Our recent corporate internship program included 7 interns who we were proud to have work at RSG and who each offered unique skills and experiences and provided feedback on how positive their internship was. While we look forward to continuing to enhance our intern program, we are proud of the progress we have made and appreciate the feedback we have received.

Pros

Fair compensation. Amazing retirement plant - 50% 401(k) match from 1% to 75% of bi-weekly compensation. Obviously there is the IRS limit, but you have option to max out that limit earlier.

Cons

None that I can identify

Pros

If you are cool with regressing into a zero impact worker it’s a very easy company to coast at and it’s largely incentivized.

Cons

Zero professional dignity. Your stakeholders will be some of the dumbest people you’ve ever met and the company rewards this. Everything gets mangled into some 5 year olds vision and the spend on mediocrity is insane. They hate technology you’ll never get access and all software decisions are made through the lens of how some corpo who doesn’t work would want to use it. Couldn’t stand the people I had to deal with and just all around anti technology anti productivity kind of place, just crazy.
