Pros
Coworkers are the ones that boost morale. High starting pay. Close to freeway. Employee parking. Must be in a union.
Cons
Supervisors micromanage you. Ryder sells maintenance so it is maintenance heavy. Hard to move up from entry level position since you don’t learn much. The yard is sometimes full of trucks that it’s impossible to park the truck you just worked on. No weekends off. The workers who’ve been there for a while have this “ego” and it’s “my bay” mentality. Service managers don’t know anything.
