Pros

Lot of freedom. Will get chance to see and work on all latest technological trends. Good campus and very comfortable amenities. Once you are into SAP its difficult to leave this company due to comfort and some people become also lazy to leave. Good company where you have lot of importance for personal life. More relaxed and see quite some challenges here and there.

Cons

Lot of freedom. Less onsite opportunities. Lack of direction of your career. Frequent re-orgs. Quite instability in some teams. Managers bossy attitude. Not recommended for freshers, first 2 years will just pass like that with out you learning actual topics. Working on new new technologies is also curse as you never know what will happen to that technology in future. There will large gap between you and what market expects. But then life is about good and bad. It's you have to decide. I know this is a common trend in all IT companies.

Pros

I really liked my role at SAP. After being a cloud Customer Success Manager supporting strategic clients for several years, I moved into a group doing digital customer outreach including producing newsletters, release enablement, webcasts, documentation, event registrations, etc. Salary and bonuses were good, no complaints there.

Cons

No real cons for the job that I was in, except that our group was eliminated by the corporate restructuring and reduction in workforce in North America in 2025. I would have loved to stay but unfortunately we probably showed up on a restructuring spreadsheet somewhere and it was determined that our services were no longer needed. We off-boarded most of our work to other existing employees (who already had full time jobs), which felt unfair to them, but that is how it shook out.
