INSITE team... Run away. - Senior User Experience Designer SBM Management Services Employee Review

Pros

The production-level employees are a dream. Experienced and knowledgeable, they are a lot of fun and always willing to help. The workspace is well equipped and shocked with great coffee, drinks and snacks. The compensation level is way above market.

Cons

The CEO is a deeply paranoid, mixed-up, fickle, and verbally-abusive blowhard. He lacks respect and trust for all of his employees, maintains unrealistic expectations, and harbors nothing but contempt for the people he views as overpaid charlatans, regardless of their professionalism or expertise. If you think he won't be involved enough in your day-to-day to merit concern, think again. The INSITE platform is of particular personal interest to him, and he delights in being a wildly inconsistent, woefully under-informed micro-manager of the project and the team. The team lives in fear, as his communication style can be described as "forceful intimidation," and his whims often lead him to eliminate entire departments when he changes his mind or becomes displeased for any non-reason. The compensation level offered by this company is high because otherwise, they would have no way to attract the talent needed to get the job done.

Pros

There are some pretty amazing people who work here and everyone is willing to help each other out.

Cons

Leadership can change their mind in an instant and will set unrealistic expectations so it makes it difficult to succeed.
