Toxic environment - Account Manager SBM Management Services Employee Review

There are plenty of cons to working at SBM, but two stood out the most to me: the lack of work–life balance and the company culture. Work–life balance was essentially nonexistent. Despite what they told me during the hiring process, I often had to work weekends, attend events, or take calls on my personal time. The culture was equally concerning. One situation that ultimately led to my departure was a conversation with a director-level manager who questioned why I wasn’t at a site at 6 AM. I explained that I had worked late the night before, lived an hour away, and considered that early morning my personal time. His response was, “Don’t forget, you’re salaried — that’s our time, not yours.” Overall, it was a toxic work environment, and I would not recommend it.
