SCAN’s business model differs significantly from other Medicare Advantage plans, and unfortunately, this model doesn’t scale effectively to new markets. This limitation affects both career growth opportunities within the company and the organization's ability to deliver on its commitments to members. I found this especially concerning because launching an HMO without a robust network in place can put vulnerable populations at risk. As others have noted, despite working hard, it’s easy to feel that tangible results or meaningful outcomes are lacking. Life is short and I am happy I left.
