Pros

There is the ability to transfer teams ( work with a different department) if it's a better fit for you. The second team I worked with there was everything I needed at the time, and I am still in touch with folks from that team to this day from my then manager to my peers. The first manager was kind enough to let me migrate to a team where I had more to contribute and was a better fit for me.

Cons

The possibility of being in negative situations with certain teams. My advice to you is to keep a level head and see whether the best outcome for all is to try to fix your situation, to migrate to a different team, or to change company...
