Pros

Securus Technologies is flexible with the schedule for your shift because they are always needing to hire people but the training class will be the best part of working there when you start (it's downhill after that). It's a great job if you need quick cash to pay bills until you find something better.

Cons

The starting pay of $10/hr is bottom of the barrel compared to other call centers and does not come close to satisfactory for the work you do and the unrealistic call quotas (80 calls per day). You need to be able to handle very angry customers on a daily basis because you are assisting families of prison inmates with their phone billing accounts, and they are often frustrated to find out the calls to the prison facilities cost so much when they get the bill. You do not receive full medical and health benefits until after six months of employment because they know most people will not last half that time.
