Pros

The products are interesting and their impact is unquestionable. The company is branding itself well and is getting noticed on a huge scale. The pay, if negotiated at the beginning with care, can beat the market at the time of the offer (no fixed long-term raise schema in place though).

Cons

Unkept promises (about raises, bonuses, stock options, reward trips at certain milestones) undermine the leadership's trustworthiness. The lack of honest, transparent communication (including the acknowledgment of bad decisions) raises additional trust issues. While clearly not stakeholders (no stock/option despite prior promises), ordinary employees are expected to commit to the company beyond reasonable limits. Upper management is completely detached from the reality of the employees' daily life and struggles. The monthly Q&A sessions have turned into a weird satire of the CEO et al. attempting to BS their way out of real, important questions.

We are truly sorry for your experience working at SEON turned out to be so concerning. Our leadership takes all feedback very seriously and act upon on them. We are thankful for your remarks, so we can build a better organisation. Since the pandemic, we have implemented yearly 2x fixed raise schema (January and July), and re-structured the bonus schema for non-commercial teammates into more frequent and higher level of raises based on the feedback we've received. We aim to pay over market standard to make sure our teams remain high performers. Unfortunately the company had to pivot from reward trips given the lockdown situation, and the whole company-wide ESOP / stock options were rolled out in 2022, as we have promised. At the moment all of our teammates are shareholders. Tamas Kadar - CEO and Co-Founder of SEON

Pros

Great business outlook, people are generally nice and great to work with.

Cons

Inexperienced founders that don't know what they're asking for, and who keep changing priorities. The CRO/President of GTM is toxic and it is recommended to stay away. He is the de facto CEO of the company.
