Pros
As it's a sales position, there is the ability to earn commission.
Cons
- Very toxic work environment, which comes down from senior management. - toxic traditional old school sales mentality. - no support from HR. - no support to stop burn out, in fact it is encouraged - if you are not burning out then you will experience digs that you're not working hard enough even if you are working hard and are consistently above your targets. - moving goal post - it doesn't matter how much work or effort or personal hours you put into your work that is visible and communicated, the additional requests that are beyond relevant KPIs keep moving so when you hit them you've suddenly missed them. - It doesn't matter what you do, it's not good enough and you'll be bollocked non stop. - the high turnover of staff reflects the unpleasant environment. - toxic positivity - any feedback or communication of issues is dismissed, you'll be called 'spoilt' or completely disregarded, despite being asked by management what seems to have gotten the whole department so unmotivated or seemingly not to be enjoying their work. - when communicating any issues with management, you are manipulated to believe this is the best case scenario of this job type so if you leave you will not be happy and will be worse off. - witnessed gross misconduct and bullying by senior management.
