Important work undermined by centralized leadership and one-way sacrifice - Operations Manager SITA Employee Review

Pros

Genuinely meaningful work and talented, committed people. When teams are trusted to execute, they deliver — which makes the direction of the culture all the more frustrating.

Cons

Leadership has grown increasingly top-down, with influence concentrated at headquarters and decisions driven more by proximity to power than by merit or outcomes. There's a widening gap between the values leadership espouses and how the company actually runs — the story told upward and outward feels far more polished than the reality teams live with. Compensation follows the same pattern. Pay hasn't kept pace with the cost of living, and management points to industry turmoil to explain it — fair enough on its face. But the sacrifice only runs one direction: employees are asked to weather the hard times with the company, yet when results improve, the rewards appear to concentrate at the top rather than reach the people doing the work. Years of treating technical talent as a cost to be squeezed rather than an asset worth investing in have made the message unmistakable. Loyal, high-performing people don't burn out from hard work — they burn out when execution matters less than positioning and the upside never reaches them.

Pros

Flight benefits after six months, somewhat hybrid depending on role

Cons

No organization, no training for new hires and product training is limited. Managers expect employees to be on call literally 24/7 but no compensation for it. Raises on hold for 2026 because of world events. Operations are expected to sell and create revenue but aren’t comped for it.
