      Pros

      The pay is competitive and Schlumberger is the top company in oil field services. They have the best technology and look fantastic on a CV if you're seeking a career in oil and gas.

      Cons

      They have aggressive recruiting strategies that result in misinformation about the career and lifestyle (i.e. being told you would be rotated around locations annually and being stuck in a given location). Also, they do not stick to the fixed-step training program if they don't want to.

      Excellent benefits and company culture. Diverse opinions are encouraged and respected. Safety first. Great company to have a long career.

      Cons

      No internal job openings advertisement. Many get promoted, though. Career growth depends on many factors.
