Pros

My direct supervisor was a mostly nice guy. Maybe a little passive aggressive, but mostly very nice.

Cons

I came in to manage a team that was already severely behind metrics and needed a lot of coaching. That's something I had done before, so the opportunity was quite exciting. However, I learned after I started that none of the employees were prepped that I would be their new manager. That leads to a huge wall to get over. There was very little structure, in my opinion. There were very few processes in place. Attempts to create processes were futile. The biggest thing that made me walk away was that, and this is feedback from current employees, some people are alotted special treatment and the rules for contacting clients are mostly "this way" but for a particular set of people it's "that way." I'm a very across the board type of person. Lastly, too many chiefs not enough Indians.
