Pros
Almost impossible to get fired, good work/life balance, monopoly within its industry, good first job out of college.
Cons
Its simply a marketing company now. Every customer is overpromised and underdelivered. Many of the tools were built in the 1990s and are unable to be modernized. Most of the day is spent in meetings and Jira. My department literally only promoted on time in role and if the VP liked you. Beyond that, you are just a number. Executive team has sold over $50M in stock since the last CEO announced retirement. The DEI initiative is just tokenism while critical roles are 95% white. The automation they advertise is largely just hundreds of manual task people in India who have access to sensitive customer data. Silent layoffs have been happening for the last few years. The entire retail industry talks poorly about SPS.
