Pros
Coworkers are great, the job itself isn't bad at all, decent pay for the job. Good communication with clinical staff.
Cons
this may just be issues within my location but : zero recognition for hard work unless it comes from the patients themselves and occasionally coworkers, little to no flexibility with time off. Always being asked to do projects that are not in job description and usually seem like management tasks. Most of management has never done the jobs they manage and would have no idea how to. Pay is decent for the job but not matching current costs of living. Low PTO accrual, expect to fight tooth and nail to get any days off once the schedule has come out even if you've given nearly a month of notice. Management has no shame in being obvious about who their favorite employees are and who they don't like. My amazing coworkers were the only reason I stayed as long as I did. It seems like money is the priority here, not the employees or patients. Also if you call out for any reason, expect to have your boss ask for an explanation and then be shamed. Any more than 4 call outs within a year is considered an occurrence. So don't plan on getting sick or anything for more than 4 days.
