Pros
*Staff are great. Most store managers and lower level collegues will help you and are wonderful *meetings/courses are often catered; which is nice attempts are even made to provide food for special diets/religious beliefs
Cons
*cheapest company I've ever worked for (my waste was 0.46% above target and then 0.16% the following week. I was sent to investigation . I got put on a first written warning despite showing improvement *I had someone conducting mock audits on me at least 2 times a week *in the summer we were working in 30-40c temperatures with no real attempt to fix this issue In winter it is so cold that your hands turn purple *multi unit management does not understand franchise guidelines therefore my store received 4 compliance notices. Even though this was the fault of my boss as she was the reason we were not following standards (I told her that this was conflicting with the franchise standards yet she still insisted ), I was still managed on it *don't listen to the commission bull. Ever since minimum wage was increased they made targets unattainable (my store was smashing perfect partner and sales yet received nothing ) *when I asked upper management for help during my training it fell on deaf ears *ssp managers will often lie about missing delivery items to come in line with gap targets *they say they will develop team members to upper management but force you to work as acting store manager without extra pay, job title and will take advantage of your efforts for several months even years *free drinks often are taken away from units if not meeting gap targets I think the fact that 15 employees left after me in a very short time screams volumes about ssp I could go on and on.....
