- Recently leadership development programs were reduced so there are not as many structured training programs once you reach a managerial/leadership position.
- With the recent period of growth and mergers, there has been an influx in workload that has led to burnout in some areas. It's getting better but there are still processes and systems that need to catch up with the larger membership.
- There are currently no DEI initiatives across the organization. While we do participate in a few community events, as STCU is expanding to new markets there is already a need for a conscious effort in diversity training, especially for frontline staff.
- Some HR policies need updating to be conscious of diverse communities (i.e. not hiring people with unpaid debt, and dress code policies that are not inclusive of gender-nonconforming people)
