Pros
- Initial pay was good
- Fully remote
Cons
- Typical "always online and available" startup culture with very little work life balance and high stress
- Rafay is an egomaniac, with little empathy and would routinely belittle and berate employees on company wide Zoom calls and Slacks, set unrealistic expectations, and threatened to reduce pay if those expectations weren't met
- Initial pay and benefits were competitive, but raises, bouses, and equity promised during the initial interview didn't end up happening. To get a raise, you were encouraged to convince Rafay "why you deserve it" and "what you will do to earn it"
- Would threaten legal actions against employees who left
- Frequently encouraged to oversell the platforms capabilities to clients
- Employee turnover is rapid for all above reasons
