Pros
Equitable pay; company pays for bulk of employee's medical; reasonable accrual of vacation/sick leave; also one day of personal time off per year; owners are very visible and very available. Just like any company, there are great managers, mediocre managers, and some just not so good; but, from the owners down, there is constant pressure to ensure employees are happy. People who complain about the job they're in should remember that the company also offers a good tuition reimbursement package and an inhouse training department which provides a wide array of training opportunities in almost any field. The company also prefers to promote from within when possible and is very employee friendly when it comes to crossing or changing careers within the company. Company provides a percentage match to employee contributions to retirement accounts.
Cons
Despite being personable and generally available, the owners have distanced themselves somewhat from regular interactions with employees due to expansion. Five years ago, there were only two call centers and the Headquarters building. Today, there are three call centers in San Antonio and one in Scottsbluff plus numerous offices and other data centers around the country. Communication sometimes gets garbled going from top to bottom or bottom to top.
