Pros
Great pay, awesome benefits, and the best coworkers/management you could ask for! Additionally, management listens to your concerns and actively resolves issues between the transportation and warehouse departments. This has been a slow process, but things have been getting easier and everything is beginning to run smoother. Moreover, most of our outdated equipment (tractors, trailers, ramps, etc.) are being replaced with brand new equipment, making the job easier and more enjoyable. Sygma Network Denver is truly committed to the job, their employees, and the customer. This change in management focus is making Sygma Denver an improved and more gratifying enterprise to work for, getting better and improving day to day!
Cons
Trailers are loaded backward and out of sequence at times, requiring drivers and driver helpers to dig through product, increasing the amount of time it takes to deliver stops. Nonetheless, this issue is being addressed and conditions are beginning to run smoother and improve. Additionally, a new scanner process has been introduced, used during deliveries, in which every individual case is scanned, virtually eliminating mispicks and other delivery complications. This has minimally increased delivery times and makes it difficult for new employees to effectively learn products (since all they have to do is simply scan a barcode). At times the warehouse places product stickers in hard-to-find locations, or the stickers are missing entirely, making it impossible to scan out a case during a delivery. This decreases a driver's delivery accuracy and can negatively impact quarterly bonuses. My only other con in driving for Sygma is their use of drive cameras. Granted the drive cameras can be invaluable in the case of a not-at-fault accident, it makes most of the drivers uncomfortable.
