Pros
I had a great Administrator, Social Worker, Admissions, Activities and Dietary Manager. Terrific rehab department! Nursing staff worked hard to care for residents. I loved working with all of the resident's.
Cons
Benefit and salary are below market rate and are extremely poor. When you resign from the company, you forfeit any vacation time that you had accumulated so BEWARE! There is no matching contribution from the company in the 401k. Lots of regional people in the building all the time. The company has numerous consultants who are paid to maximize Medicare reimbursement almost to the point of fraud yet this multi million dollar company cannot pay out the PTO that the employee has earned when they resign from the company. Saber is quick to ask employees to contribute to their corporate fundraisers but not so quick to give back to their employees. When employees go without a lunch break, one is automatically deducted from their time. I have gone without lunch breaks for weeks and had time deducted for a break. In fact, it was rare for me to take lunch. Always some new policy popping up creating new work to be done. More work, less time to do, no more man power to help get the work done and no more money to perform the work. Corporate compliance is a joke- it's only in place because it's a legal requirement. If it were a real department then consultants would not be dictating why one department has a lower percentage on something that affect reimbursement on the MDS and asking to raise it so reimbursement will be higher (illegal).
