Pros

Potential to make money (if they actually pay you) ADT is a very respected name, which means that customers are more inclined to purchase products Mostly Wireless installs Easy to learn DSC equipment Training (term used very lightly) provided and certifications can be obtained Experience and training puts you in a good position to move to a better company

Cons

Technician's word is not considered and holds no value, even when held against LIES from other departments Absolutely NO support from upper management All problems regarding pay are filtered through your manager which is then left to their discretion to report Hierarchy of management is not clear Actual pay structure is different than that which you agree to Getting paid what is owed to you is a constant "Up Hill" battle which eventually leads to you being labeled as a complainer Supervisors are very poorly trained and frequently to give you wrong information, and then are quick to report you when you make the mistake of following their guidance Despite how well you perform your job and how much money you make the company, you are never treated respectfully Training consists of 2 weeks at the Houston, TX location but is a waste of time and does not actually prepare you for what to expect on the job

Pros

Good company culture, pretty good pay if you are good at knocking on doors. Pretty good benefits. Health, Vision, Dental, 401k.

Cons

The worst thing is the hours. You have to be knocking on doors from 2:30 till 8:30 p.m. no appointments, no real plan. They just give you a list of addresses and you go see who you can find at home. Not super crazy about the training and how they teach you to greet the homeowners at the door. I don't like to "mislead" by saying things that aren't completely true. They tell you the average rep sells 12 deals a month but the numbers don't show that. Turnover is crazy! People are in and out of this company very quickly. Only a few survive and stick around just long enough to find something else so they can spend some time with their family.
